East Africa is facing a severe water shortage crisis due to climate change and years of drought, affecting the livelihoods of millions of people, as well as food and livestock production. The United Nations and other relief agencies have stepped up humanitarian assistance, but the situation remains dire and requires long-term assistance. Investment in water infrastructure and sustainable resource management is urgently needed.
